I’m always interested in having conversations with people about their business conversations. On this episode of Conversations About Conversations, I talked with Ben Pariser about how he approaches prospective clients.

Ben and his company, Restorical Research, provide a valuable service. Their tagline is “Uncovering history to cover your costs.” They help people deal with environmental pollution by finding historical insurance policies to pay for it.

Ben was influenced in his teen years by a book called, “All You Can Do is All You Can Do, But All You Can Do is Enough!” by A.L. Williams. He said the perspective he comes from in his conversations with prospects is “Hey, this is good for you.” He said he is clear that the work his company does changes lives in such a profound way such that he doesn’t look at what he does as sales. Moreover, because he’s found something he believes in, he is determined to share it with the world. He makes thousands of cold calls a year on a crusade to clean up the environment one property at a time.
